A punching bag in a second story apartment, Would it make too much noise?

Im planning on buying a 100 lbs punching bag and hanging it from a door frame pullup bar, and replacing the chain with rope. Will this be too noisy...

Im planning on buying a 100 lbs punching bag and hanging it from a door frame pullup bar, and replacing the chain with rope. Will this be too noisy?

    You will know when the manager comes to the door . Until then If it was me, I would hang it up.

    It’s too bad that you can’t utilize part of the basement of your apartment complex, because I don’t believe, IMO that you’ll be happy with your planned set-up. First of all, a doorway is too narrow ans secondly, the bag is sure to hit the sides of the door frame and make just enough noise to disturb your neighbors. They’ll probably hear the sound of leather hitting leather too, that’s if the bar holds and doesn’t fall because of the 100 pound wight swinging. I’d make sure I had an alternative place if this first choice doesn’t work. good luck.
